| Durien, What Asians like to
call "The King Of Fruit!" But what Foreigners probably think its
called "King Of Smells!" This fruit is expensive and not allowed on
Planes, in Hotels and other public enclosed areas as the smell is so
powerful. But it is a known delicacy amongst Asians! |
Lynchee, One of my
favorites, only grows in colder climates. Blossoms beautiful flowers
in spring. China is where most Lynchee gardens and orchards are.
Reminds me of a comparable western fruit. Cherrys. |
Mangos, There are many
varieties of Mango in Asia, and several in Thailand. Green and Yellow,
some you eat before they are ripe and turn yellow, some you only eat
when ripe or yellow. Different from the types sold in western markets,
that variety is green, yellow and redish. |
Noi Na, My mother's
favorite fruit. Many seeds, but highly reccomended. |
