The Linda Diane Russell Memorial Site

Perhaps in death we all find peace
Finally, an endless dreamless sleep
Angels in gowns of golden fleece
Will scatter kind memories for loved ones to keep.

A white crested wave will rush upon the shore
A new rose will bloom redder than before
But we in our grave beneath nature's floor
Will sorrow at our blindness forever more.

A baby will cry with its first breath of air
The sound will trade joy for a young mother's fear
What would we give to rejoice with the pair
But today we lie mute - oh! To feel a tear.

Alas, life has raced past the hand of the clock
Eternity is ahead though time has stopped
Now we need such a small portion of land
Tomorrow we will be called to sit in God's hand.
